We know. It’s Tuesday evening already… Well, sometimes stuff just gets in the way or things move to mess up the rest of the agenda. But still, we’re always happy to move stuff around so we can talk to Troy van Leeuwen and about everything involving the new album Perfecth! Of course, that interview has now a fast approaching deadline, and we have a little trip coming up. So, there will be little time to HiVe… Just like last week… But will return with a vengeance soon! And make up for all lost HiVe time… I can feel it in my bones!

Yes, we know… It’s Tuesday already. But thing got weird and hectic yesterday. And will remain so for the foreseeable future. But don’t worry, we’ve got another Premiere for you this week! And I’m looking forward to one hell of an interview on Thursday. With one of the members of one of the bands in the Top 10 above… It’s gonna be a Perfecth Thursday!

Morning! Besides the rent paying work, most of last week was dedicated to the new August edition of the Doom Charts! Did you find your new favorite album yet? And premieres! We did two last week and in a few minutes we have another one. For a video this time! This week, we’re finally putting a new interview online. We love psychedelic free rock adventures. So when Phantom Logic came out swinging together with Earthless's Isaiah Mitchell, we had to annoy them with some sill questions. So, stay tuned for that! Stoomfest Festival is happening in a few weeks, still a few tickets left and we hope you listened to the Full Album Premiere for Vulture Neck and the new Phe single which premiered last Thursday. It’s Monday again! Start of a new week and one chuck full of exciting things, boring rent paying assignments, party times, HiVe premieres and a brand new Doom Chart going live on Friday. Yes! At least one very cool premiere going live this week! And to get you just as excited as me at very start of the wek: get ready for the new Phe single this Thursday! Yes! Yes! Yes!

It’s Tuesday already… We know… But upon returning from the wonderful Down The Hill festival the less successful version of life immediately took over. You know. The rent paying side of things. And today and tomorrow will be no different. But we have good hopes to do some proper stuff on Thursday… 

Looking back at last week, which was filled with Down The Hill festival preparations and enjoyment, we still managed to put up a post or two. Most importantly perhaps, the Full Album Premiere for the new Faerie Ring! Which we reviewed the day before that. And it is true, the new Faerie Ring is magical! We also managed to write about Hollow Drifter and Heathen Tongues, both wild and wonderful releases! So, onwards and upwards… And listening to the new Valley Of The Sun and Graveyard albums are definitely the right kind of energy to get some stuff done… What are you listening to?

Another week in the books! One filled with rent-paying-work, obligations, birthday parties and the Jazz In Catstown Festival. Hence, not that much time was left to get our HiVe fun done. This week, we’ve got some things planned before we head off to Down The Hill Festival in Belgium. One of them being a freakishly awesome Full Album Premiere! More on this very soon! But last week we did reposts of the Doom Charts blurbs we wrote. You know, Druglord, Heavy On The Ride and Rezn. Managed to let you all know that there’s a new video and a new single coming for An Evening With Knives and published a few words about the wild new Besvärjelsen album. Hope you all check those out! The most important thing this week… We are honored to present to you new Weekly Top 10 Most Listened art by the one and only Bobby Rayfield from Inherent Records and Monuments In Ruin. Prompted by Shrubbery Terror and his remark that those vinyls on top of each other hurt, Bobby immediately went to work and made this wonderful Stoner HiVe Cabinet, within a week! We can’t thank him enough for all his time and energy, and we can’t wait to start spinning those records all situated nicely in upright position! Grin! 

Another week in front of us, which means another one in the books. Hope it’s been a good one for you all! It was a busy one and hectic finish, but that seems to be the status quo recently. We hope to finish a few things we’ve been working on this week or at least before we leave for Down The Hill Festival. We’re leaving for Belgium on Thursday the 20th, so let’s get cracking on all we want to do till then! Last we week we managed to spread the word on that magnificent and free Bootleg Series by King Buffalo, wrote about that wild Ancestro album, that gritty grunge release by Last Band and the weird and eclectic Modula Nation. And we had the privilege and honor to Premiere the new single by Buzzard! The week ended with the new July edition of the Doom Charts going live! Which is always a good way to end things… Right? Here’s hoping we can get some HiVe stuff done this week… We’ve got a lot waiting to be finished… Enjoy yer week!

Morning everyone! What a week! Had hoped and expected to have more time to HiVe. But rush interviews with Iron Jinn and Hawkwind’s Dave Brock popped up. And with the deadlines for today, most HiVe work had to take a backseat. But luckily we did have a smidge of time and energy to upload a few reviews we’ve been working on. Kardeathian released their first single, Solace grabbed everyone with their new Faiding Failing Ruin album and Vordermann is about to release their new Feeding On Fireworks. Last one that went live is for the stunning Shadow of Jupiter album. Those four write-ups and the Top Ten Listened To The Most could keep you busy for quite some time if you haven’t heard them. We’re entering a new week! And we look back at a fairly doable week when it comes to Stoner HiVe posts. Thanks to our comrades Jon McGough and Ronny Dijksterhuis. For our in house poet delivered a wicked eleven spotted Quick Fire Friday session and Jon gave us on kick ass Khemmis and for the jaw-dropping Jovian Queen. And there were words for the Doom Charts Number One album from June: Tidal Wave! And a long overdue write-up about the lovely Green Desert Water. All in all… Not a bad week. Right? Welcome to the weekly glance back that normally goes live on Monday! But yeah, it’s Wednesday! All because we had the good fortune to finally experience Stoned From The Underground festival. And returning to two incredibly grueling days of rent paying work. But the memories of the festival keep me warm, glowing and going strong! What a ride! And will try and write a few words about it soon… 

But before we left for STFU last week, we also only managed to post or repost a handful of words. About Black Glow of course. And that little screed about the two Cornucopia’s, the one from France and the one from Sweden. Most importantly though, we were honored to premiere for you the new Beware Of Gods album, the end of his trilogy. We sincerely implore you to listen to the whole story in one sitting, it is a king hell of an experience! Soon, we hope to have more time to finish up a few reviews we have lying in wait, an interview with Phantom Logic which is almost ready and of course everything else we love and want to share with you all. It’s a new week! Monday! And on Wednesday we leave for Stoned From The Underground Festival in Germany! Yes, finally! Been longing to go there for ages. Never could make it work with the date and the travelling. But this year, finally! It worked out… 

Talking about work, the rent paying side of thins immediately took over upon our return from holiday. Combine that with everything Doom Charts related, and Stoner HiVe had to wait a bit. But I hope to be putting up all those reviews and interviews that are in the work after the festival. So, yes, this week will be a slow moving Stoner HiVe as well! But hey, we put up some words about that wild new Ealdor Bealu album last week, and that album alone, dropping this Saturday on Ripple Music, is worth more than any of my silly words… So, best check it out! Monday is here! And we’ve been back for a week. How time flies! Still getting somewhat grounded, but the Stoner HiVe broadcasting service is slowly commencing. Did not manage to put up a lot of posts last week. But a new Besvärjelsen single should always be mentioned! Tour news about Stinking Lizaveta, will be seeing them live again on Stoned From The Underground Festival in two weeks. And what about that album by 22AD?! The weeks are flying by! And soon we will depart on our three weeks off grid holiday adventure, hugging the border between France and Germany as we go south to Italy, towards the Turin region, and the mountains in the vicinity. But we still have a few days to do a few HiVe posts… Although probably not as many as we did last week! First up: A FULL ALBUM PREMIERE for the Hypnosaur album Afterlife! Coming at you in a few hours! 

Last week we posted quite a few words by our inhouse poet: Ronny Dijksterhuis. Did you manage to look at  Stump Grinder? Admiral Sir Cloudesley Shovell? Gnod? Or his faster than shadow work for the Quick Fire Friday? Which we continued on with a Quick Fire Weekend! (Saturday  & Sunday) Those three Quick Fire posts along will give you twenty-four albums, ep’s and singles to check out! And we upped words on the amazing new Iguana Death Cult and stunning Robot God. And then there were those two Premieres! The monastic doom album by Maliciouz went live on our little blog. And the beautiful new single Adrift by Phe! I hope you listened to those on the blog or on their own pages the day after. Wonderful stuff! O’ and me mentioned the Doom Charts Peroration, cause we were at Sonic Whip Festival went that one went live. Last but not least; we put the words online about the new Hypnosaur album Afterlife… And that beautiful album will see its FULL ALBUM PREMIERE on our little HiVe in only a few hours… You ready for that? Another week has passed, one that was filled with off grid time and live energy! That’s right, the real most listened list should mention: Live Music! Cause it was Sonic Whip time! And man, what a great ride it was once again! Amazing sets followed one another like clockwork. But if we pick only one favorite from Day One it has to be Iguana Death Cult. And on the Second Day it has to be Bismut. Indeed, of course, you can rest easy knowing Earthless, The Sword, Acid King, King Buffalo, Hermano, Russian Circles and actually all the rest delivered the goods as well! And yes, we have the Temple Fang - Live At Sonic Whip vinyl... It was the absolute first thing we did entering the venue... Now, we have to get grounded again and get to work so to speak! Only two more weeks though, and then I’m off grid for three weeks… But still some good stuff to do and to listen to before that day comes! Like those Sons of Node words we managed to put up last week. We shall try to do more this week! Let’s get crackin!

Good morning one and all! It’s Monday, the start of the week. And where last week was all about that Hermano, Solace and Troy Torino gig. What a night! Loved every minute of the Solace set and Hermano was tight and grooving and kicking ass! Man they rock! This is about Sonic Whip Festival, starting on Friday. An amazing festival, and two days filled with a stunning line-up! Can’t wait… Before we leave on Thursday, we do hope to get some HiVe work done! And predict at least one or two posts… Grin!

Just like we managed to put something up last week. A few words on the stunning Black Lung record and amazing Tusoc album. Madman Tony Maim graced us with his thoughts on American Sharks and we then did two premieres on one day! One for the kick ass single Foamdrinker from We Follow The Earth and the brilliant Mörkekraft album Fragments. Two sides of the heavy underground coin that both deserve your attention! And last but not least, because of inquiry or two, we put up a Buy Me A Coffee page. It’s a bit weird to put something like that up. But hey, why not right? It’s Kingsday over here in the Netherlands, and we’ve just returned from a two day break at the beach with our little six year old niece. Which meant, no updates and no time to keep track of everything. And last week, well, we had our Thursday and Friday spent doing all that Friday Freebie madness for the Doom Charts! As we run into the new week, we take a quick look back at the albums we listened to the most last week and of course take a gander at the limited amount of posts we were able to put online. We keep struggling to find the time to do more. And we fear there will not be much time for a lot this week. We do have a FULL ALBUM PREMIERE lined-up for Wednesday and probable interviews on Thursday and Friday. One of them will even be for the HiVe! But hey, we try and thank you all for keeping track of what we try to do… 

So, last week, we managed to do a quick Premiere Post for that wild Beneath The Skin debut and wrote some words for the new Abrams. We saw the Doom Charts Peroration for March 2026 go live and jotted down a word or two about the heartland rock album by Gatlin Black. And last but certainly not least, motherfuzzing Mothertruck album by Fuzzing Nation got mentioned. So, we did do something, but it never feels like enough. But we try!
