You know you should be heading over to the Superseed bandcamp page, right? Cause it’s out, today, and right now, their new album Tremor! And it’s Bandcamp Friday as well! And we did not premiere the awesome single Stand Your Ground and equally amazing Mage Rager for nothing! It was to make sure you all knew what Superseed is all about and that their album is filled with these kind of hard rocking, metal loving bangers. Banging your head is a given, moving your hips as well, cause almost all of their tracks have this highly pop sensible action to them. It’s immediate, the recognition of kindred souls delivering the heavy goods in fine and fun fashion. There’s still some punk energy and grunge influences, which were more apparent on their self-titled 2019 album, but their love for metal has started to surface more and more. And this adds the perfect amount of grit and grime to their juicy stonerrock and catchy heaviness. It’s an earthquake alright, one that will make you dance like a madman and scoot boogie your ass off!

It was all the way back in April when we were honored to premiere that very first single and video for the upcoming Superseed album! Stand Your Ground had all the makings of a household weekend party starter! And guess what, the entire new Superseed album is filled with anthems! It’s called Tremor and will be out… This Friday! That’s right, August 1st! On Savage Magic Records. But right now, right here on Stoner HiVe we are thrilled to premiere another single and video for you all! It’s called Mage Rager and is a savage banger! Starting slowed down, sluggishly building, picking up speed and nudging up to more traditional metal before delivering that ferocious end section. A rager indeed! With fire magic! In those eyes and in all that tongue action!

And we know, we should do more… For there is so much great music out there, and we cannot ever do it all justice. Mordbear – Mordbear EP

The Portland, Oregon three going under the name Mordbear are here to serve you three delicious goodies. Based on the sound of yore, the proto metal and the acid rock, the three deliver something inherently spellbinding. Captivated by their tones and their ability to morph that olden times sound into something current is absolutely delightful. The vinyl comes with an eight page comic book, illustrating each track and that must be a wild ride as well, since the tracks combine a weird theory about global warming, 60’s DMT trips and an esoteric view into self-transformation. The three found and share with us their recipe to produce stoner gold!

Soon, The Division Men will release the full album entitled: Hymns and Fiery Dances. Shall we name all the collaborations that go on, on this record? Or just a few? Superseed – Big Mistake

Did you hear and see Superseed’s first single and video Stand Your Ground? Hope so, cause we were honored to premiere it over on the HiVe. The full album Tremor drops in August on Savage Magic Records, but a new single was released two weeks ago. Big Mistake is no mistake, but a big hooked nineties alternative, grungy and infectious riff fest. And of course, there’s another grand video to accompany the song. A few grand spent no doubt!

Astral Goat Dominion - Lucifer (Part I)

Astral Goat Dominion is a ritualistic stoner doom sludge duo and apparently active since May 2024. Italian born but based in Germany they say and Lucifer (Part I) is their first single. Ritualistic indeed, a bit too stale because of it perhaps? Cause it might lack a bit of climax. But the overload on the fuzz reverb and evil organ sounds will spontaneously draw a pentagram in every listeners house…

Kokkinià – The Last Are Lost From The List

Out on Bitume Productions since the end of June, the reissue of the Kokkinià album The Last Are Lost From The List. Hailing from Athens, Greece, the four piece delivered this album digitally back in 2022, but it is now available on physical media. Added are two singles and the total package results in more than fifty minutes of alternative rock. Grunge inspired, prog touched and always nodding towards the nineties. Yamas!

Cannabus – The Other Jam

A jam, recorded during the Other Side sessions. Instrumental and groovy and happening and cool. It’s Cannabus and their single release The Other Jam. Way more seventies, and the kind of psychedelic blues that explodes out of your speakers. I love The Other Jam. I love Cannabus. And I love their cover art work for all the earlier releases. This one breaks from that tradition, just as the live track Desert Trip-Live At Rhune Mountain did. Which makes me a bit sad. But playing The Other Jam turns that frown upside down!

Just as we already loved the Superseed self-titled album from 2019. Their mix of stoner punk, nineties alternative, grunge and seventies swagger had style and class! Class! Audible immediately on their new single Stand Your Ground! Style, coming up the wazoo, just check out their no expenses spared video. Showcasing how incredibly comfortable the four feel in front of a camera. Ho ho. I’m sure they had more fun than they’re showing. But seriously, this song is blazing! And once again a day late. But we all know the deal. Work, life, shit, whatever it might be, gets in the way. But here it is anyway, those Five Most Listened to Albums of Last Week. Superseed’s self-titled debut is a fast-paced heavy rock race through grunge, punk and garage. It’s rowdy and it’s raw and most of all it feels like a freaky fun cannonball! Eternal Return, the new Windhand, out on Relapse Records will definitely end up high on many a last once again. And rightfully so. A bit heavier, a bit swampier, a bit grungier; but every bit as enchanting! Loving it! Satan’s Satyrs released The Lucky Ones through Bad Omen Records. Punky, Sleazy, Groovy, Glamy and Fuzzy. Check’m out and feel the pure energy and tasty weirdness. Dance with them! Back on rotation once again is Forgotten Planet by Spirit Division. Sometimes you just need to visit those alien worlds and bask in the glory of the bronzed sound there. Yes, Spirit Division knows how to transport your soul! Sundrifter and their Visitations album came out early this year. But after returning from Portugal we were definitely in the mood to some sun-soaked desert tinted stoner and groovy fuzz. And the vinyl will be out soon on Small Stone Records. The limited clear vinyl edition is almost gone. So, if ya dig it, you’d better hurry and get yer greasy hands on it! Check’m out!
