Welcome to the weekly glance back that normally goes live on Monday! But yeah, it’s Wednesday! All because we had the good fortune to finally experience Stoned From The Underground festival. And returning to two incredibly grueling days of rent paying work. But the memories of the festival keep me warm, glowing and going strong! What a ride! And will try and write a few words about it soon… 

But before we left for STFU last week, we also only managed to post or repost a handful of words. About Black Glow of course. And that little screed about the two Cornucopia’s, the one from France and the one from Sweden. Most importantly though, we were honored to premiere for you the new Beware Of Gods album, the end of his trilogy. We sincerely implore you to listen to the whole story in one sitting, it is a king hell of an experience! Soon, we hope to have more time to finish up a few reviews we have lying in wait, an interview with Phantom Logic which is almost ready and of course everything else we love and want to share with you all. Cause that is what binds all of us good people… Good music!

It’s a new week! Monday! And on Wednesday we leave for Stoned From The Underground Festival in Germany! Yes, finally! Been longing to go there for ages. Never could make it work with the date and the travelling. But this year, finally! It worked out… 

Talking about work, the rent paying side of thins immediately took over upon our return from holiday. Combine that with everything Doom Charts related, and Stoner HiVe had to wait a bit. But I hope to be putting up all those reviews and interviews that are in the work after the festival. So, yes, this week will be a slow moving Stoner HiVe as well! But hey, we put up some words about that wild new Ealdor Bealu album last week, and that album alone, dropping this Saturday on Ripple Music, is worth more than any of my silly words… So, best check it out! Making it all the way to the 12th spot of the May Doom Charts is Gin Lady and their new album Tall Sun Crooked Moon. On it they move every forward to the sound of yore. Their love for the good stuff, the stuff that originates from the sixties and the seventies is every present and o’ so obvious. But the level of musicianship is so extremely good that the sounds become pure shimmering gold. This perhaps the best soundtrack you will ever hear this year for a long drive towards a wide and sunny horizon. Cause it is the Roots, the Country and the Americana that make this album jump out from all the other heavy stuff we love so dearly. It has been said before, but honestly, these cats combine all the best from The Band, The Allman Brother, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison and Neil Young in one tight package. This is the biography of a spring full of love and sweet country living. Amazing!
