We're talking about Empty Full Space and we're honored to be one of the selected few to premiere their new single and opening title track From The Limbo. MORE ABOUT EMPTY FULL SPACE AND THEIR DEBUT ALBUM

Empty Full Space consists of Nico (guitars, vocals), Flo (drums, backing vocals), Edgar (synthesizers, percussion), Antoine (bass), and Max (guitars). With just one year on the Parisian music scene but boasting dozens of vibrant performances, the band has drawn inspiration from legends like Hawkwind and Can, as well as contemporaries such as King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, Osees and Maragda, to shape their unique vision of psychedelia, kraut-rock, and garage.

"Amnesia" and "From The Limbo" serve as the first two singles into their debut album, 'From The Limbo' - full private listening -, with a release scheduled for March 20. This inaugural musical offering from Empty Full Space was recorded between Heat Studios and Pain de Mie Studio - both located in France - by Pierre Dessauny and Djibee, respectively. The subsequent mixing and mastering took place at Fuzzface Studio in Scotland, helmed by Jason Shaw.

'From The Limbo' will be available on all streaming platforms, as well as in compact disc format and a double vinyl edition, limited to 200 copies in purple and 100 copies in standard black - both part of Spinda Records' 'Trippy Series' alongside releases from Moura, The Silver Linings, or Moundrag. Pre-order is already available through spindarecords.com and the Andalusian label's Bandcamp.

Grandier - The Scorn And Grace Of Crows

We’re honored to bring you the World Wide Full Album Premiere of Grandier’s new album The Scorn And Grace Of Crows. A full review will follow shortly; but here are some quick words of praise to take with you as you dive headfirst into this doom metal tour de force. Written, performed, recorded, mixed and produced by the duo of Patrik Lidfors and Lars Carlberg, all aspects of this album are commanding and opting for huge gestures and gigantic vistas. Slow, lumbering doom, pounding their message into your heart with precision, and with an almost velvet touch. Indeed, this doom, even though it’s large in atmospheric scale is also gentle and often even tender. Not in its message or intend, but with that gradual and measured doom caress… Mastered by Monolord’s Esben Willems at Studio Berserk, and out on Majestic Mountain Records, the duo will be aided from now on by Hampus Landin formerly from Swedish folkmetal band Taiga on drums, but the album was finished before he joined and the result The Scorn And Grace Of Crows is an album as strong as granite and as graceful as a flower…  And how about that lovely album artwork by Thomas Moe Ellefsrud (Hypnotist Design) ?!

World Wide Premiere – Seum – John Flag

Today is the day! The World Wide Premiere of the first single of the Blueberry Cash EP that comes out on April 20th. 4:20 it is! We’re talking about John Flag by Seum! One of the three songs that will feature on the Blueberry Cash EP. Two of which were written for Seum’s Winterized album but which didn’t seem to fit with the rest of the tracks and one song is from vocalist Gaspard’s former band Lord Humungus (Hairy Muff). It was mixed and mastered by Greg Dawson (BWC Studios - Sons of Otis, Panzerfaust) and illustrated by Burmese Grindcore artist Fadzee Tussock.

Lord Flag will pounce and pound and stamp and stomp you into submission with its gritty grind, severe sludge and uncompromisingly heavy two and half minute ruckus doom ‘n bass noise. Waving a tattered and torn death head flag there John?!

Hear ye, hear ye! We’re honored to announce that on April 2nd we shall be premiering the new single by Montreal's very own "doom 'n' bass trio" Seum! It’s called John Flag and it’s the lead single for a certain and very particular smoke break they took while preparing for a new full-sized album. We’re honored to bring to you the world wide premiere of The Absurd’s version of Possum Kingdom! Indeed that nineties grunge classic by Toadies. We love The Absurd and have done so ever since discovering that Boots On The Ground single back in 2018. We still spin the shit out of their The Sun Still Rises album and whenever we’re in the mood some cool relief; we take a ride with their The Absurd Goes To The Beach EP. So, in short, we love The Absurd! And if we are to trust the words of frontman Josh; he loves us too or at least things we’re cute…

 

Josh on the premiere: "We, El Absurdo Supreme, are most stoked to be featured on a blog as prestigious as this one. Joop is a warrior and a king, and also he's cute. Beware his axe. We have felled many a troll together. Also we hope you like our cover of Possum Kingdom. We switched up the drumbeat a bit, and sludged it up. The good ol’ boys at Majestic Mountain Records asked us if we wanted to premier another single after dropping that awesome Vessel track The Tempest Void. “We’ve got this groovy riff-laden up-tempo song called Eyes Without A Face, all spiced up with Lina’s strong vocals and dark Lyrics, ready to go!” You mean from that’s damn good new The Hypnagogics album Endless Nights? Hell yes! We’d love to premier that one! Our very own Shastabeast already professed his love for that album on February 6 when he wrote: “a signature sound that's both creepy and irresistible, a dangerous combination that makes for a gripping debut start to finish.” And about that Eyes Without A Face track that is going live right here and right now: “Eyes Without A Face, brings goth vibes into the mix with spine-tingling distortion and lyrics straight from a horror movie.” Hell yes!
