There are of course many bands named Golem. Did that fact deter us? We might never know. W do know, we were late to this Golem party. We arrived as the votes came pouring in. Noticing all the Doom Charts Contributors voting for A Tale Of Dust And Tide by Uruguayan five-piece Golem we pressed play and by the time the cowbells arrived, we could not escape the grasp of the Golem! And we loved getting squeezed and clenched tight in between all those adventures!

Cause five-piece Golem go for the gusto with their first long-play album! For A Tale Of Dust And Tide is definitely that! A long-play album, eighteen tracks, and more than two hours!! You want value for your buck on over on Bandcamp?! Next Bandcamp Friday, is November 6th. Cause wow! Unusually ambitious debut for a relatively obscure underground band right? But you’d better believe that those two hours are jam-packed with tight riffs, wild guitar work and thunderous rhythms. Fuzz-drenched, groovy and catchy these two hours fly by! And as you traverse the Golem universe you will be led through a fantastical world of crusades, wonderous battles and mythological creatures that turn up when you least expect it… A sprawling, immersive journey where ancient tales rise from the dust and the tide carries you ever onward. Ambitious. Absolutely. But Golem make the journey feel effortless, leaving you wanting to turn around and walk back into the haze for another two hours of dusty tales…
