Karmic Seeds – Karmic Seeds
Self released – 2021
Rock, Stoner, Garage, Psych
Rated: ****
We’re late to the Karmic Seeds party. Very late. Much too late. And its even more wry than at other times. Cause the Karmic Seeds three delivered their self-titled debut back in May 2021, at a time when their vocalist and guitarist sadly passed away. It’s starts off with Histamine, a psychedelic stoner and garage rocker that shows its color fairly fast and will undoubtedly give you an idea of what is to come. But even if you already hear some of stuff these cats are capable off and a blue sounding guitar that will let you drift away on the sounds before being propelled forward by the heavy undercurrent. It is second track Arabic Spring that will let you know that anything is possible. The eastern influences incorporated into this little psychedelic ditty will warm your bons and make you float along its languid groove and desert vibe. Three fast paced garage and stoner rockers follow that all retain a bit of that blue psych touch and grungy flair. And when you almost are settled into that sound, they open it up on that final stretch of fifth track Intrusion Delusion before they hit you with their sixth track The Black Witch Of Mount Sinjar. Incorporating doom into the mix, with excellent vocals, these three seem to have been capable of a lot if not everything. We are too late. But we will always have this fine album to keep enjoying. In honor of the man who passed away, but more importantly because the seven tracks featured are damn freaking good! Thank you Jorit and Pieter and may Tim be rocking hard wherever that may be…
