Actually, the new Observers record The Age of the Machine Entities is perfect every day and time! And to prove that fact we are honored to premiere the new single and video Metaphor II. Be warned though, the video is actually here to show you what Observers is all about, giving you a shorter version of the actual album track. And when that fade out starts during this 3 minute long snippet, you long to hear more… And you will, cause the full album will be released on March 4th!

About the video Observers 'Metaphor II' ("Alien 1976") I love 1970s sci-fi art and particularly movie ‘concept art’ which envisages the way a movie will look. Or not, as the case was for Chris Foss and Ron Cobb’s concept art for the movie Alien in 1975/76. Chris Foss was fresh off concept art duties on Alejandro Jodorowsky's ill fated Dune project and it was before Ridley Scott and H.R. Giger was brought onboard. A lot of Cobb’s work made it into the film, sadly Foss’s work did not. This is my homage to the concept art of Chris Foss and Ron Cobb and the version of Alien that could’ve been! About the track 'Metaphor II' is a long form electronic epic in the vein of Blood Incantation's recent Luminescent Bridge and Timewave Zero and continues the dark ambient aesthetic from the later works of Kennedy's other band All India Radio. Analog synth arpeggios and ethereal flutes evoke Tangerine Dream-esque cosmic visions and waking dreams until it all comes together in a doom metal climax.
