Back in May, Indian foursome Goatsmoke released a five-track, 25-minute-long album called What’s The Scene, Bob? And I don’t know about you, but I immediately spoke the album title out loud in that Twelve Monkeys voice, right Bob? Five tracks that bring you stoner metal, sludge, and all with this intense and gritty punk attitude. Extreme, brutal, hardcore, vocals are served hot and spicy on that opening explosion called What's (really) The Scene, Bob? What a ride; bang on the buck the whole time before slowing down in the end and showing you the way these Goats can groove. That razor-sharp riff in the second track Controlled Substances, that bass work and stonerrock jam-out in third track Concrete Surfer. The way the sun-dried drums start off that final track Devil’s Lettuce, there’s just so much good and heavy to discover in these mere five tracks, and now a bunch of you shall be able to do that with this damn fine album sitting right there smack dab in the middle of your Bandcamp collection!
