South Carolina's Eyes Of Egypt have ushered forth a truly unique and individual take on Modern Doom. Macabre, grisly and unsettling, Blood Showers drips with evil atmospheres and dread-filled dark corners of Sludge, Metal and Electronica, all combined to lure the listener into a twisted, chaotic world of utter despair. The creepy, rasping vocals on ‘Drain’ crawl up your spine, possessing and subjugating your will. ‘Pansy’ ‘s chugging riffs and cryptic snarling, bite and tear at your throat whilst ‘Slither & Wither’ does exactly what's described. This is an album that creeps you out but draws you in repeatedly... like that fairground House of Horrors tent that beckons and repels simultaneously. This is Macabre Doom and all the dark things bow in homage...
