This three track ep by HÅND is their second one and apparently an appetiser for an lp that's scheduled for release in late 2024. According to their band info, this Barcelona-based instrumental four-piece is influenced by the likes of All Them Witches, King Buffalo, Elder and Tool. And yes, if you like those bands you will absolutely love this.

Opener 'Wadi' is a big groove and riff fest with lots of energy and melody and tons of magnificent lead guitar. What follows is a masterpiece in two parts, called 'Norte'. 'Norte - Part A (Bruma y hechizo)' opens on a psychedelic trip before a heavy Karma To Burn-like groove takes over. But that isn't all. The rhythm section gets much more room to shine and display its versatility. Some tool-like staccato bars are mixed in for good measure and overall it's way more proggy than the first track. This approach is put under a magnifying glass in the stellar closer 'Norte - Parte B (Despertar de los caidos)'. It builds and builds towards a heavy stoner/space/progressive freakfest that closes this phenomenal ep by a group of stellar musicians. We can only suggest you take 25 minutes of your time to dive into the sonic world HÅND has created. You won't be disappointed.
