We’re talking about the Italian three called Bozoo and their self-titled debut album. That’s right, two of the eleven tracks are already out as singles but all the others are available for your ears tomorrow. As soon as we can! We’re not clowning around! The circus is back in town! Cause Bozoo brings the stoner rocking goodness, the desert, the robot, the Palm Desert groove and yes, a lot of early sounding Queens Of The Stone Age. But there’s also still a touch of more nineties alternative and grunge. And always, this off center catchiness, this quirky grooviness and something undefinable addictive. Concise compositions, give you this highly economic listening session of a bit more than forty minutes, and every second entertaining. Just check out crooked opener Mayday, the robotic Scott Mary or the smiley face stoner pop Rolling. All three have moments where you could see a Josh Homme jump in or hear echoes from something wafting out of the fabled Rancho De La Luna studios. But who said the sole rights to this kind of riffs, rhythm and ruckus is signed over to that side of the pond. No, the Italy three do it their way, the end of Rolling for instance, goes way more alternative grunge than Palm Desert would ever sound. And when you end the album with the pirate ship stoner rocking six and half minute long Choked Noise that goes round and round, broad based circles that sparkle and will not allow you to turn the volume down.
