Out since September 2022, on Lay Bare Recordings and Mongrel Records, the Shallow Pools (Deluxe Edition) album by South African blues rockers The Amblers. The kind of blues that feels filthy, sounds dirty and you feel coursing through your entire body like high voltage electricity. Eleven fuzz ridden blues rockers that move towards The Black Keys or Jon Spencer as easily as they do towards something Jack White. Indeed, this is a duo, that knows how to implement that vintage garage touch as well as some punk adagio, just listen to Keep Me Screaming or Dustling Man. Want some more laid-back stuff with folk touches? They can do that too, just check the title track out!  Shallow Pools has been out since September 2022, but is an album that feels perfect for a hot and sweaty summer… And in a perfect world you would see The Amblers featured on a lot of festivals… I would attend them all!
