Stoner HiVe’s Quick Fire Friday
Holy hell! Did Friday just come and go? Time flies, especially during these extremely hectic weeks in August. For yes, when most people are enjoying time off, I’ve been heavy at work with all kinds of assignments and other crap. Sweating it out in my little war room, while the sun outside is scorching it all. But luckily there is a whole lot of heavy music to keep me company! And since there is soooooo much… Well… Why not do another Quick Fire Friday round! And we know… All those releases, singles, ep’s, albums, they are worth way more of our time! But you know how it is… There is so much out there, so much good and heavy stuff, and we just simply cannot ever do it all justice. So here it is. Another Stoner HiVe Quick Fire Friday! And it burns hot like molten lava!
Half Gramme Of Soma – Muck & Cheese

From Southern Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Istanbul, Turkey this new Cincinnati based band spans different musical backgrounds and influences to make a strange, dark and heavy rock n' roll approach to their music. Ghostly, vaporous, dark and heavy. Hemlock Branch…
North Star The Wanderer – Terminal
Thrashy, yet progressive, sludge doom metal poetry that has its blissful moments. We get three tracks and almost twenty minutes on North Star The Wanderer’s Terminal EP. And that final Contamination with its black and nwobhm touches is just insane!
Animal Mother – The Great Suppression
Tascam Tapes! “All songs recorded in Bonham, Texas in Jimbos jam room on a Tascam DP008-EX. Tracking began in December 2021.” Alrighty! Let’s go Jimbo! Let’s hear you go crazy doing all that bass, drums, synth, samples, noises, voice and so on and so forth. And so on and so forth, getting grimy, sludgy, muddy, filthy and punky. And we love that scene from Raiders Of The Lost Ark, where the Nazi’s face melts away…
Ian James – Peregrination
We’ve mentioned Ian James before and now we do it again, cause he has a new album out called Peregrination. The one-man band gets a bit of aid on a few tracks, but for the most part, it’s the man, his fun box and his guitar. Taking you on a worldwide tour with instrumental lounge, funk, blues and psyche jams.
