Psychedelic spacelords Skyjoggers from Tampere, Finland, return with the long-awaited sequel to last year's Journeymen and it is the return of a band well-versed in the art of the long space improv... This time, however, the sonic excursions on Seasons of Uiu carry a multitude of  interlocking nuances, an almost linear progression of concepts extending from the opening electronic Sludge of 'Andorayd' and the heavy, rhythmic Stoner rock of 'Blehavoyance' before the drifting, cosmic guitars of 'C.M.H.' burst with anthemic finale. 'Seasons of Uiu" throbs with up-tempo bass before a swirling shredfest crescendo gives way to gentle, bird-like squeals and soft, high-wavering vocals until the heavy riffage kicks in again. The frenetic, punkish strut of 'Dead' gives way to a Kingston Wall type Psych burn-out; topped off with equal ferocity by the closer, 'СЛАВА'. The whole album has a fantastic flow and each track seamlessly sets the scene for the follower... This has appeal for Stoners, Psychers and Spaceheads and delivers in all three realms with great skill.
