Back in 2024 we mentioned their The Sacrament In Accidents release and kind of felt that the Last Band four were on the verge becoming as their chosen moniker might suggest. Two years later they’re back with Mirrors on which their sound continues to be this dense strain of alternative rock, fused with grunge weight, metal snarl and a Husker Du kind of laissez-faire that turns everything into a volatile, gritty whole…

Like a reflection pulled from a fractured world, a cracked surface where grunge shadows, metal teeth and progressive punky unrest collide. Built from derelict riffs, serrated rhythms and raw lo-fi tension, the album captures the electricity of musicians creating something larger than its parts. Moments of eerie psychedelic drift meander through, but the tempest of weight and vulnerability keeps moving on like a hungry beast. Beneath all that distortion resides a deeply human pulse, exploring broken connections, social unease and the search for meaning. 

The songs refuse comfort or predictability, and burn, singe, sear, until fracture. Nothing is polished up, it’s all raw and brutally laid bare. Mirrors delivers a reflection, but though its shattered surface it all cuts back. Mirrors, feels like a visceral document of conflict and transformation, of survival and of a band pushing their sound ever deeper into their veins. Blood spilled out together with all these riffs. And you can feel it…
