Storming the gates of hell with blazing energy is the new three-piece outfit from London, UK called Warpstormer. Their self-released four track debut opens with the righteous heavy metal title track Here Comes Hell and immediately lets you know what you are in for. Much more metal, much more heavy metal, some sludge and even some thrash and hardcore elements in comparison to Green Lung and Oak. What? Why do you mention Green Lung and Oak, you ask? Well, the members from Warpstormer used to reside in the now defunct Oak and they borrowed Scott Black from Green Lung to get this little dark diamond out! Four tracks that show their colors easy; wave their metal flag with a snarl and dig into so much grit, the war-ridden skies shall be torn asunder. Closing effort Reap What You’ve Sown (Devourer) slows more down to doom and might resonate easier with most of the freaks in the HiVe… It’s a grand, unsettling finale that propels Here Comes Hell to a higher plain.
