It drops on September 18th and we are honored to premiere the FULL ALBUM PREMIERE for Allume’s brand new album Ex Luto! The Italian quartet  is releasing it through Octopus Rising, the sub label for Argonauta Records and it might just be the firebomb that sets everything alight! 

We wrote about it yesterday… Which you can read HERE! But Allume’s Ex Luto is a filthy, visceral slab of Italian heaviness. Allume unleash riffs that sprint, claw and bite, while bass slithers beneath drums pounding like a diseased heart. Born in pandemic shadows and drenched in Sicilian heat, this isn’t the reinvention of the wheel… But it burns! It’s gasoline, sweat, smoke and beautiful sonic kamikaze!

Italian post-stoner quartet ALLUME return with Ex Luto, a darker, heavier and more direct evolution of the sound introduced on their debut album O.D.E.. Blending crushing stoner riffs, psychedelic textures, hypnotic grooves and immersive post-metal atmospheres, ALLUME create music that balances sheer physical impact with emotional and atmospheric depth.

Recorded almost entirely live during the summer of 2024 at Villa Ridente, Ex Luto was conceived to preserve the band's natural chemistry, dynamic intensity and raw energy. Rather than pursuing studio perfection, ALLUME embraced the imperfections and tension of a genuine live performance, giving the album an organic and immediate character.

Much of the material was written during the suspended months of the pandemic, gradually becoming a cathartic journey through loss, change and transformation. Compared to O.D.E., the new album takes a more direct approach both musically and lyrically, with towering guitar walls, deep psychedelic bass textures and heavy, obsessive grooves rooted in stoner rock. The songs move between crushing riff-driven passages and more immersive, atmospheric moments, always maintaining a strong sense of tension and momentum.

Ex Luto is an album about transformation, but also about impact: music designed to breathe, pulse and leave a mark. Its live recording approach makes the interaction between the four members an essential part of the listening experience, capturing ALLUME at their most visceral and expressive.
